About the event
Christmas Bird Counts have been an integral part of tracking bird populations for hundreds of years. Our count meets at 8AM in the parking lot of visitor's center. We will pair seasoned birders with novice birders and send them out to count birds in a given section. We will reconviene at visitor's center at noon to share data. Please bring your own binoculars and warm clothing (most of the count occurs in vehicles, but be ready for short walks).
